HelderBoard terms of use
Version of 25 October 2026.
These terms apply to the use of HelderBoard (app.helderboard.tech), offered by Pink Elephant Salon (sole proprietorship), Ganzenheuvel 33, 6511 WD Nijmegen, Chamber of Commerce 83005544 ("we"). By making an account you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the privacy statement.
1. The service
HelderBoard is an online whiteboard and mind map for ordering ideas and exporting them as a brief for an AI coding agent. The service is free and new. We do our best to keep it working and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, and features can change.
2. Your account
- An account is for one person. You use an email address that is yours.
- You are responsible for access to your email and your password: whoever has them can get into your account. If you notice misuse, report it to privacy@helderboard.tech.
- You must be 16 or older.
3. Limits
Per account: at most 20 boards (your own templates count) and 100 MB of storage; a board can be shared with at most 20 people. There is also a maximum number of accounts. What an editor adds to your board counts towards your storage. We may change these limits; if a new limit is lower than what you already use, your existing content stays.
4. What is not allowed
You do not use HelderBoard to:
- post or share anything that breaks the law or the rights of others (for example copyright or privacy), or that is hateful, threatening or exploitative;
- spread malware, phishing or spam;
- test or get around the security, trick others out of their data, or overload the service (for example with automated requests outside the normal app);
- store other people's personal data where you are not allowed to.
If you do, we may remove content or block your account (for a time). Where possible, we tell you first.
5. Your content
- What you put on your boards stays yours. You only give us the right to store, show and process it as far as needed to provide the service: for example to show it to you and to the people you share it with, and to make backups.
- When you share a board, you decide who gets access. You are responsible for what you share and with whom.
- We do not look into your boards, unless you ask us to (for example when something breaks), the law requires it, or there is a concrete report of misuse.
6. Exports and AI agents
Your own browser makes an export (HELDERBOARD.md, a ZIP, an image or a backup). HelderBoard sends nothing to AI services. When you give an export to an AI agent such as Claude Code or Codex, that service's terms apply. An agent can write code and run commands; what an agent does with your brief is not our responsibility. The export asks the agent to plan first and wait for your approval, but we cannot guarantee that an agent will. Check what an agent proposes and does.
7. Liability
We are not liable for damage from using HelderBoard or from the service not working (for a time), or for lost content, except in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our side. Keep your own copy of important work: with "Download my data" on your account page or a backup per board. If you are a consumer, you always keep the rights the law gives you.
8. Ending
- You can always delete your account yourself on your account page. Your boards and images then go at once; from the backups within 21 days.
- If we stop HelderBoard, we tell you at least 30 days beforehand, so you can download your data.
9. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you at least 30 days beforehand in the app or by mail. If you keep using HelderBoard after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
10. Law and contact
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands; as a consumer you keep the protection of the country where you live. Questions: privacy@helderboard.tech.
